Language
The cortine population speaks the Ampezzo, branch of ladino, which is now recognised the status of a full-fledged language. It is a Romance language descended from Latin, the maintenance of this idiom, known by the elders, but also by many of the younger, became part of made a veritable symbol of attachment to one's roots and rustic, sometimes lived in opposition to English.
